How to restore
Open Lamplit and tap Settings from the home screen.
Tap Restore Purchases.
Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted. This must be the same account used for the original purchase.
Lamplit checks your purchase history with the App Store. Eligible items are restored immediately — no charge.
Restoring is always free. The App Store will never charge you again for a non-consumable purchase you've already made on the same Apple ID.
What gets restored
ITEM | RESTORABLE? | NOTES |
One-time unlock | Yes | Fully restored across all devices on the same Apple ID |
Puzzle packs | Yes | All purchased packs restored |
Hint bundles | No | Consumable — balance is stored locally and cannot be recovered |
Streak shields | No | Consumable — same as hints |
Streak & stats | No | Stored on-device; preserved via iCloud backup only |
Puzzle progress | No | Stored on-device; preserved via iCloud backup only |
Switching to a new device
Set up your new iPhone from an iCloud backup where possible — this is the most reliable way to carry over your streak, puzzle progress, and hint balance along with your purchases. Restoring purchases only recovers non-consumable items; local game data travels via device backup.
If you set up as a new device rather than from a backup, use Restore Purchases to recover your unlock and packs. Your streak and progress will start fresh.
Frequently asked questions
I restored but my packs still aren't showing. What do I do?
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Go to Settings → Apple ID on your iPhone to confirm. If you're on the right account and the issue persists, force-close Lamplit, reopen it, and try restoring again.
Can I use my purchases on multiple devices?
Yes. Non-consumable purchases (the one-time unlock and puzzle packs) are tied to your Apple ID, not your device. Sign into Lamplit with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases to activate them on any device you own.
I bought Lamplit on my old phone. Can my family use it too?
Yes, if Family Sharing is enabled on your Apple ID. See How Family Sharing Works for details.
